Until earlier this year, when I first got my hands on a juicer, I’d never really got the hype about juices. I mean, they’re just super blended fruits and veggies, right? And I eat ENDLESS supplies of those!
Then, I got sent a juicer to try, and I became hooked! The boys became hooked, too, and we would spent hours in the kitchen concocting new blends and tossing in our leftover fruit and veg at the end of the week.
Anyway, after a lot of experimenting, we all agree on our favourite: Carrot, Apple, Orange & Ginger Juice!
Not only is it super refreshing, but it’s also energising and helps to boost the immune system, thanks to all of those amazing anti-oxidants and the anti-inflammatory ginger.
In fact, when I don’t fancy anything to eat first thing (which is quite often – I am not a breakfast person!), it’s my go-to breakfast, along with a green smoothie.
I’ve found that adding carrot into juices like this is a great way to get hidden veggies into a kid’s diet, too! My boys drink this without complaint and, actually, now ask for carrot in their juices. Hurrah!

What are your favourite juice flavours?
Energising Carrot, Apple, Orange & Ginger Juice
- Serves 2-4 –
- 3 carrots, cut into chunks
- 2 apples, cored and cut into chunks
- 4 tangerines, peeled
- 1-inch chunk ginger, peeled (or more, to taste)
- 1/4-1/2 cup water
- Pop your fruits, carrot and ginger into a juicer, and process.
- Stir through the water, if desired (I like to dilute my juices slightly to make them last longer / for more people!) and stir. Serve immediately.
